Stock market causes concerns for retirees
Days of fear and uncertainty have arrived for retirees across the country due to the falling stock market.
In theory, retired people should live a comfortable life, however that is not the case in our struggling economy.
For years retirement and financial advisers have said that elderly people should lightly invest in stocks and put the majority of their money in super safe investments.
Many people ignored this advice due to low interest rates and saw a risk in not keeping money in stocks.
With stocks having dropped 40 percent this year the middle-and upper middle-class have suffered due to their money placement. By CLIFFORD KRAUSS
