Michael Jackson finally laid to rest in Los Angeles
Michael Jackson was finally laid to rest today in a funeral service at a heavily guarded private cemetery in Los Angeles.
The ceremony began more than an hour late as guests including 77-year-old Dame Elizabeth Taylor waited in termperatures of 32C for the Jackson Family to arrive at the Forest Lawn cemetery in Los Angeles.

Money made by California's pot dispensaries remains hazy
Local governments, tasked with regulating the dispensaries sprouting up from Redding to Reseda, are scrambling just to figure out how many have opened.
Los Angeles is home to hundreds of dispensaries -- some of which opened after the City Council enacted a moratorium on new marijuana businesses. Towns such as Barstow and West Sacramento are banning dispensaries until they can outline regulations for them.

Workers Race to Fix Crack in Bay Bridge
Transit crews scrambled to repair an unexpected crack in the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge and finish a long-planned seismic upgrade with just a day to go before the crush of morning commuters.
The 73-year-old structure that carries about 260,000 vehicles a day between the two sides of the bay remained closed for a fourth day on Monday, and authorities hoped to avoid a fifth on Tuesday.

Text of Obama speech to be released before school broadcast
The White House is set to release on Monday the text of a controversial back-to-school speech to students from President Obama that has angered some conservative parents and pundits.
The text of the 18-minute speech will be posted on the White House Web site so people can read it before its scheduled Internet broadcast to schoolchildren Tuesday.

Another Car Crashes Into a Sacramento Business
For the second time Sunday a vehicle crashed into a business in Sacramento.
Just after 7:00 p.m. the driver of a Volkswagen Jetta crashed through the side of the Dos Coyotes restaurant on Folsom Blvd. near 65th street.
